However, meeting the general 150 score does not automatically make a candidate eligible for every programme. Some courses have higher requirements.

Candidates should therefore check the requirements for their chosen programme before registering. Those who do not meet the score or subject requirements for their selected course may need to change to a suitable programme through the JAMB portal.

KIU O’Level Requirements

Candidates must have at least five relevant O’Level credit passes, including:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Other subjects relevant to the chosen programme

KIU accepts O’Level results from not more than two sittings.

Candidates should ensure that their O’Level results have been uploaded to the JAMB portal. The subjects, grades and examination details should also be checked for accuracy.

A scanned copy of the required O’Level result or certificate must be uploaded during the KIU screening registration.

Who Can Apply for KIU Direct Entry?

Direct Entry candidates must meet the required O’Level conditions and possess an acceptable qualification for their chosen programme.

Eligible qualifications include:

  • IJMB or JUPEB: Minimum of eight points
  • NCE: Merit
  • ND/HND: At least Lower Credit
  • Degree: Second Class Lower

The qualification presented must be relevant to the programme the candidate is applying for.

Direct Entry applicants should also upload the relevant qualification during the screening registration.

Documents Required for KIU Screening

Candidates should prepare clear scanned copies of the required documents before beginning the application.

The documents include:

  • O’Level certificate or result, from not more than two sittings
  • A’Level certificate, where applicable
  • Indigene certificate
  • National Identification Number (NIN)
  • Birth certificate
  • Relevant Direct Entry qualification, where applicable

Candidates should ensure that all uploaded documents are clear and readable.
