UNILORIN Extends 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry Registration Deadline; The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has extended the registration period for its 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise.
The registration, which was initially scheduled to close on Sunday, 5 July 2026, will now remain open until Sunday, 12 July 2026, giving eligible candidates additional time to complete their applications.
New UNILORIN Post UTME Registration Deadline
The new deadline for the 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry registration is:
- Sunday, 12 July 2026
Candidates who are yet to complete their registration are advised to take advantage of the extension and submit their applications before the new closing date.
Eligibility for UNILORIN Post UTME Screening
Candidates are eligible to participate in the screening exercise if they:
- Scored 180 and above in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Selected the University of Ilorin as their first-choice institution during UTME registration.
- Meet the required O’Level admission requirements.
Eligible candidates are encouraged to complete their registration within the extended registration period.
Eligibility for Direct Entry Screening
Qualified Direct Entry applicants are also eligible to participate in the 2026/2027 screening exercise.
The extended deadline of Sunday, 12 July 2026, applies equally to Direct Entry candidates, who are advised to complete their registration before the portal closes.
O’Level Admission Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- A minimum of five O’Level credit passes.
- The credits must include English Language and Mathematics.
- The required credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
Candidates should carefully verify that all their academic details are accurate before submitting their applications.
JAMB CAPS Requirement
All applicants must ensure that their O’Level results have been uploaded to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
The university has warned that candidates whose O’Level results are not uploaded on JAMB CAPS will not be considered for admission.
Candidates awaiting their results are eligible to apply but should upload their O’Level results to JAMB CAPS immediately after they are released.
