The School of Orthopaedic Cast Technology at LASUTH offers a National Diploma programme that equips students with the knowledge and practical skills required for a career as an Orthopaedic Cast Technician.
The course runs on a full-time basis for two years, after which successful candidates will qualify to work as Orthopaedic Cast Technicians.

Eligibility Requirements

- Chemistry
- Physics
- Present O’Level results obtained in not more than two sittings.
- Score a minimum of 130 in the JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Be at least 16 years old.
O’Level Requirements
Applicants must have five O’Level credit passes, with English Language and Mathematics included among the required subjects.
Candidates must also have credit passes in at least two of the following science subjects:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
All O’Level results must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
JAMB UTME Requirement
Candidates must obtain a minimum score of 130 in the JAMB UTME to be eligible for admission.

Documents Required for Submission
Completed application forms must be submitted together with the following:

- Two recent passport photographs with a white background.
Candidates should ensure that the passport photographs are recent and taken against a white background, as stated in the admission notice.
Screening Process
A Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) as part of the admission process.
Candidates who successfully pass the CBT will proceed to the next stage of the screening exercise.
Oral Interview
Successful candidates from the CBT will be invited for an oral interview, during which they will be required to present the original copies of their relevant certificates for verification.
While photocopies of credentials are to be submitted with the application form, the original documents will be examined during the interview.
