ND Admission Requirements
Applicants seeking admission into the National Diploma programmes must meet the following requirements:
- Possess at least five O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
- Candidates applying for ND full-time programmes must also apply through JAMB CAPS.
- Applicants must have scored a minimum of 100 in the 2026/2027 UTME.
HND Admission Requirements
Candidates applying for Higher National Diploma admission must:
- Hold a National Diploma (ND) in a relevant discipline from a recognised polytechnic with at least a Lower Credit.
- Possess five O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
- Have completed one year of industrial training.
JAMB CAPS Requirement for ND Full-Time Applicants
All ND full-time applicants must process their admission through JAMB CAPS before admission can be finalised.
Candidates who initially selected another polytechnic but wish to study at Dorben Polytechnic should process a change of institution through JAMB before applying.
JAMB CAPS Registration Process
Applicants should complete the following steps:
- Create a JAMB CAPS account.
- Link their email address and phone number to their JAMB profile.
- Check their admission status regularly on JAMB CAPS.
- Accept the admission offer on JAMB CAPS once admission is offered.
- Print the JAMB admission letter.
- Present the admission letter at the Dorben Polytechnic Admission Office along Garam-Bwari Road for verification.

- O’Level result or results

NYSC Eligibility for HND Full-Time Graduates
HND students admitted on a full-time basis who are below 30 years of age will be eligible for mobilisation for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) after graduation.
This eligibility applies only to candidates who meet the age requirement and are enrolled in the full-time HND programme.
20% Tuition Scholarship
Dorben Polytechnic has approved a 20% tuition scholarship for the following categories of applicants:
- Military and paramilitary personnel recommended by their respective organisations.
- Female students admitted into Science and Engineering programmes.
Eligible candidates should ensure that their status or programme of study is clearly indicated during the admission process.
