
FUTIA Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening Form 2026/2027; The Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi (FUTIA) has announced the commencement of its admission screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The screening exercise is open to suitably qualified candidates seeking admission into the University through the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and JAMB Direct Entry. Interested applicants are expected to meet the admission requirements and complete the online registration process as outlined by the University.
FUTIA Post UTME Eligibility Requirements
Candidates who scored a minimum of 160 in the 2026 UTME and selected FUTIA as their first-choice institution are eligible to apply for the screening exercise.
Direct Entry candidates who chose FUTIA as their first-choice university during the 2026/2027 JAMB Direct Entry application are also invited to participate in the screening.
Can Candidates Who Did Not Choose FUTIA Apply?
Candidates who did not initially select FUTIA as their first-choice institution may still apply, provided they scored at least 160 in the UTME and complete a change of institution to FUTIA through JAMB CAPS.
The change of institution must be completed before the screening application can be considered valid.
FUTIA O’Level Admission Requirements
Applicants must possess at least five credit passes in relevant subjects at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) level or its equivalent.
The required credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
Candidates must also have credit passes in both English Language and Mathematics, as these are compulsory requirements for admission consideration.
FUTIA Age Requirement
Only candidates who will be at least 16 years old on or before 30 September 2026 are eligible to apply.
Applicants who will not attain the age of 16 by the stated date do not meet the University’s admission requirements for the 2026/2027 academic session.
O’Level Result Upload on JAMB CAPS
All candidates are required to upload their O’Level results on JAMB CAPS on or before 31 August 2026.
After uploading the results, candidates should click the “REFRESH” button on CAPS to confirm that the results have been successfully uploaded and updated.
Awaiting Result Candidates
Candidates awaiting the release of their WAEC or NECO results are also eligible to apply for the screening exercise.
However, such candidates must ensure that their O’Level results are uploaded on JAMB CAPS through a JAMB-approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre not later than 31 August 2026.

FUTIA Post UTME Registration Date
Registration for the 2026/2027 admission screening exercise will commence on Monday, 22 June 2026.
Candidates are expected to complete their applications through the University’s admission portal.
How to Apply for FUTIA Post UTME Screening
Candidates should follow the steps below to complete their application successfully:
- Visit the FUTIA admission portal and click on “Click here to apply.”
- Navigate to the top menu bar and select “Apply Now.”
- Click on “Undergraduate.”
- Complete the basic information form.
- Provide a valid email address and phone number.
- Click “Next” after entering all required information.
- On the payment review page, select “Make Payment.”
- Review the payment details and click “Submit.”
- Enter your ATM card details.
- Use a Mastercard, Visa, or Verve card for payment.
- Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your phone and click “Continue.”
- After successful payment, return to the portal and click “Main Login.”
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number.
- Use your surname as the default password.
- Log in and complete the registration process.
- Print both the completed registration form and payment receipt.
Candidates must ensure that all information provided matches the details on their JAMB records. Any inconsistency in biodata may result in automatic disqualification.
