UNILORIN Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening Form 2026/2027; The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has announced the commencement of its Post UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into its undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The screening exercise is open to candidates who selected UNILORIN as their first-choice institution during UTME or Direct Entry registration.
Applicants are strongly advised to carefully study all registration guidelines before making payment or submitting their applications. Any incorrect information supplied during registration may result in automatic disqualification, and the University will not be held responsible for errors made by candidates.
Eligibility for UNILORIN Post UTME and Direct Entry Screening
The screening exercise is open to:
- UTME candidates who selected the University of Ilorin as their first-choice institution.
- Direct Entry candidates who selected the University of Ilorin as their first-choice institution.
All applicants are required to complete their registration through the University’s official undergraduate pre-admission portal.
Registration Period
The online registration portal will open at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, 22 June 2026 and close at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, 5 July 2026.
Candidates are expected to complete payment, NIN verification, O’Level or A’Level result entries, and final submission before the registration deadline.
UNILORIN Admission Screening Formula
Admission into the University will be determined using an aggregate score derived from three components:
- UTME or A’Level score – 50%
- Post UTME screening score – 30%
- Five relevant O’Level grades – 20%
This means that admission decisions will not be based solely on UTME or A’Level performance. Candidates are therefore advised to ensure that their O’Level records are correctly entered during registration.
Requirements Before Registration
Before beginning the registration process, candidates should have the following ready:
- National Identification Number (NIN)
- O’Level Result Checker
- Active personal email address
- Active personal mobile phone number
- O’Level or A’Level result details, where applicable
- JAMB Registration Number
Candidates are advised not to use another person’s phone number or email address, as all future communication regarding admission will be sent through the contact details provided during registration.
JAMB CAPS Requirements
Applicants must upload their O’Level and A’Level results, where applicable, on JAMB CAPS.
Candidates who are still awaiting their examination results should indicate this by selecting or typing “AR” (Awaiting Result) during registration.
Candidates wishing to change their course or programme should carry out the change through JAMB CAPS and not on the UNILORIN portal.
The University will periodically synchronize course and programme changes from JAMB CAPS to its admission portal until the registration deadline. After the portal closes, no further updates from JAMB CAPS will be reflected on the University’s system.
Courses Requiring One-Sitting O’Level Results
The University will only accept O’Level results obtained in a single sitting for the following programmes:
- Medicine and Surgery (MB;BS)
- Pharmacy
- Optometry and Vision Science
- Computer Engineering
Candidates applying for any of these programmes should ensure that their O’Level results meet the one-sitting requirement before submission.
Registration Fee
The Post UTME/Direct Entry registration fee is ₦2,000 only.
In addition, candidates will be required to pay separate charges for:
- NIN verification
- O’Level result verification
Step-by-Step Registration Procedure
Candidates should complete their registration through the official UNILORIN undergraduate pre-admission portal by following these steps:
Step 1: Verify Details
- Visit the undergraduate pre-admission portal.
- Click on “Verify your details” located on the right-hand side of the page.
- Enter:
- JAMB Registration Number
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- Confirm the automatically displayed surname and first name.
- Click “Verify” to proceed.
Step 2: Make Payment
- Click “Make Payment”.
- You will be redirected to the Remita payment platform.
- Select your ATM card type (Visa, MasterCard, etc.).
- Enter:
- Card Number
- Expiry Date
- CVV
- PIN
- Click “Pay”.
- Wait for the payment response and do not refresh your browser.
Step 3: Login and Complete Application
- After successful payment, check your email for login credentials.
- Return to the UNILORIN portal.
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number and the password sent to your email.
- Click “Login”.
- Select “Application” from the menu.
- Complete all required sections of the form.
- Verify your NIN details.
- Enter your O’Level examination details.
- Provide a valid O’Level result checker PIN.
- Review all entries carefully.
- Click “Submit”.
Payment Verification
Candidates who are uncertain whether their payment was successful should wait for confirmation from their bank and then return to the pre-admission portal.
They should click “Confirm your Payment” and enter their JAMB Registration Number to validate the transaction.
NIN Verification Guidelines
NIN verification is conducted only once.
Candidates must ensure that both their NIN and date of birth are correct before proceeding with registration, as these details will be used throughout the screening process.
Direct Entry Registration Requirements
Direct Entry candidates are required to follow the same registration process outlined for UTME applicants.
In addition, they must:
- Select their highest academic qualification from the available options.
- Provide all relevant academic details and credentials.
Upgrading from UTME to Direct Entry
Candidates who intend to upgrade from UTME to Direct Entry must first complete the upgrade process through JAMB CAPS before registering on the UNILORIN portal.
They should also ensure that the Direct Entry upgrade details are accurately reflected on the University portal.
Candidates Exempted from the Post UTME Screening Test
The following categories of applicants are exempted from taking the Post UTME screening test:
Foreign Candidates
Candidates residing outside Nigeria who applied through either UTME or Direct Entry will not participate in the screening test. However, they will undergo screening after admission has been offered.
Candidates Living with Disabilities
Applicants with disabilities are also exempted from the Post UTME screening test. This includes candidates who are:
- Blind
- Deaf
- Mute
- Autistic
- Amputees
- Lame
- Paralysed
- Living with Down Syndrome
- Living with Dyslexia
- Living with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Persons with Albinism
- Persons with Cerebral Palsy
- Candidates with physical disfigurement
Printing of Screening Documents
After completing registration, candidates should print their screening documents and carefully verify that all information displayed is correct.
If any error is noticed, candidates should return to the portal and correct the information before the registration deadline.
Final Checklist Before Submission
Before the registration portal closes, candidates should ensure that:
- Their O’Level examination number on the UNILORIN portal matches the record on JAMB CAPS.
- Their NIN on the UNILORIN portal matches the NIN on JAMB CAPS.
- Their UTME subjects and scores are correctly displayed on the screening slip.
- Their phone number and email address are personal, active, and accessible.
- Any course or programme change has been completed on JAMB CAPS.
- Their A’Level result has been uploaded on JAMB CAPS where applicable.
- Awaiting Result candidates have indicated “AR” correctly.
- All submitted information is accurate.
