FUOBS Admission Overview
The Federal University Otuoke Business School (FUOBS) has commenced the sale of application forms for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The Business School offers a wide range of academic and professional programmes, including certificate courses, postgraduate diplomas, executive and professional master’s degrees, regular Master of Science (M.Sc.), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Professional Doctorates, and Special Intervention programmes.

FUOBS Entry Requirements
Certificate Programme Requirement
Applicants must possess at least five passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in a Senior School Certificate or equivalent qualification.
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Requirement
Applicants must meet one of the following:
- Five O’Level credits including English Language and Mathematics, plus
- A bachelor’s degree (not lower than third class) in a relevant discipline, or
- A bachelor’s degree with at least second class lower division in an unrelated field, or
- A Higher National Diploma (HND) at upper credit level
Executive and Professional Master’s Requirement
Applicants must have:
- At least five years of relevant work experience, and
- One of the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Higher National Diploma (HND)
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
(Discipline and class of degree are not restrictive.)
Regular Master of Science (M.Sc.) Requirement
Applicants must possess:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least second class lower division, or
- A Postgraduate Diploma with:
- CGPA of 3.00 on a 5-point scale, or
- CGPA of 2.50 on a 4-point scale
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Requirement
Applicants must hold:
- A master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.00 scale
- The qualification must be in management, business, social, behavioural sciences, or a related field
Duration of FUOBS Programmes
Certificate and Short Courses
- Duration: 3 weeks to 6 months (depending on programme)
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- Full-time: 2 to 4 semesters
- Part-time: 4 to 6 semesters
Master’s Programmes (Regular/Executive/Professional)
- Minimum: 2 semesters
- Maximum: 4 semesters
Ph.D. Programmes
- Minimum: 6 semesters
- Maximum: 8 semesters
How to Apply for FUOBS Admission
Applicants are to complete the application process online via the FUO Business School portal.
Steps include:
- Visit the FUOBS application portal and generate an invoice
- Use a valid phone number during invoice generation for communication purposes
- Proceed to any designated bank to make payment via Remita
- Return to the portal and complete the application form
FUOBS Application Fees
- Certificate programmes: ₦25,000.00
- PGD, M.Sc., Ph.D.: ₦30,000.00
- Executive or Professional Master’s: ₦50,000.00
Referees’ Reports and Transcript Requirements
Applicants must provide referees’ details online, including email addresses. Referees will receive a link to complete their reports electronically.
Hard copies of referee reports must also be submitted alongside application documents.
