ADUSTECH Welcomes Students and Issues Resumption Guidelines for 2025/2026 Academic Session; The Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, has officially welcomed both fresh and returning students to the 2025/2026 Academic Session, while also announcing resumption details and reiterating key campus regulations.
In a circular issued by the Student Affairs Division and signed by the Dean, Student Affairs, Prof. Abdulkadir Muhammad Dambazau, the University announced that all halls of residence will open on Sunday, 11th January 2026, at exactly 8:00 a.m.
The Dean emphasized that the University’s major focus for the new academic session is to maintain a safe, clean, and disciplined learning environment, noting that all existing regulations remain in force and that violations will attract strict penalties.
Hygiene and Environmental Sanitation
Students were reminded that open defecation is strictly prohibited, and the use of designated restroom facilities is mandatory. The University also warned against littering, stressing that waste must be properly disposed of in designated bins to maintain a healthy campus environment.
In addition, the act of splitting or splashing water in hallways, balconies, or common areas is prohibited due to safety concerns and the risk of damaging hostel facilities.
Electrical Appliances and Fire Safety
To prevent fire outbreaks and electrical overload, the University has banned the use of heavy-duty electrical appliances in hostels. These include hot plates, electric cookers, immersion heaters, and refrigerators.
Cooking is only permitted in designated kitchenette areas using approved methods, including the use of properly stored gas cylinders where applicable.
Security and Personal Property
While acknowledging students’ reliance on digital devices, the University advised students to avoid the conspicuous display of expensive phones or jewelry. Management stated that it will not be held responsible for the loss of high-value personal items kept in common areas.
For security reasons, all students are required to carry their University identification cards at all times and present them upon request by security personnel.
Code of Conduct and Residency Rules
The circular strongly warned against squatting, defined as accommodating unregistered individuals in hostels. Both the registered occupant and the squatter will face disciplinary action, which may include the loss of hostel accommodation.
Students are also expected to observe curfew and quiet hours. Hostel residents must return to their halls by 10:00 p.m., while off-campus students are expected to return by 12:00 midnight. Noise levels must be kept to a minimum to respect others’ right to study and rest.
Additionally, students were reminded to strictly adhere to the University’s approved dress code at all times while on campus.
Management’s Assurance
Prof. Dambazau reiterated that the University Management remains committed to students’ welfare, comfort, and academic success, but stressed that full cooperation from students is essential to keep facilities functional and the campus orderly.
He warned that non-compliance with the stated regulations will lead to the immediate forfeiture of hostel bed spaces and may attract additional disciplinary measures.
The circular was copied to the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellors (Academic and Administrative), Registrar, Director of Security, Hall Administrators, President of the Students’ Union Government (SUG), and Presidents of all student associations.
