Academic Staff Requirements
- Professor: Must have served as a Reader for at least three (3) years, possess a PhD, demonstrate strong research output, and have a minimum of ten (10) years post-qualification university teaching experience.
- Senior Lecturer: PhD or equivalent qualification with at least six (6) years of university teaching experience and recognised scholarly publications.
- Lecturer I: PhD with a minimum of two (2) years teaching experience and demonstrated ability to supervise undergraduate research.
- Lecturer II: PhD or Master’s degree with evidence of progress toward a PhD, plus at least three (3) years teaching experience or relevant professional practice.
- Assistant Lecturer: Master’s degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower; PhD registration is an added advantage.
- Graduate Assistant: Bachelor’s degree with at least Second Class Upper.
Registration with relevant professional bodies is mandatory where applicable.
