FUDutse SUG Sets Up New Students Registration Task Force for 2025/2026 Session; The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the Federal University Dutse has announced the formation of a New Students Registration Task Force Committee ahead of the 2025 registration and screening exercise.
According to a statement released on Monday, 1 December 2025, the committee will operate from a central location on campus, where newly admitted students will receive proper guidance, clear instructions, and necessary support throughout their registration process.
Free Registration Support for New Students
The SUG stressed that all registration-related services provided by the Task Force are entirely free. New students have been strongly cautioned not to make any payments to individuals offering assistance with registration, as the union does not authorize such charges.
Temporary Accommodation for Incoming Students
To further support fresh students, especially those traveling long distances, the union has arranged temporary accommodation for those who may arrive without an immediate place to stay. This initiative aims to prevent students from becoming stranded and ensures a safe and comfortable environment while they prepare for registration.
Important Advisories for New Students
The SUG issued several guidelines to help safeguard students during the registration exercise:
- Rely only on verified information from the University or the SUG.
- Keep personal belongings safe at all times.
- Do not hand over important documents to unauthorized individuals.
- Report any suspicious behavior to the designated SUG hotlines.
SUG Reaffirms Commitment to Smooth Registration
SUG President, Comrade Isah Ibrahim, assured new students of the union’s dedication to ensuring a smooth, secure, and well-organized registration and screening process for the 2025/2026 academic session.
