FUHSA Announces Immediate Mid-Semester Break Due to Statewide Security Concerns

FUHSA Announces Immediate Mid-Semester Break Due to Statewide Security Concerns; The Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare (FUHSA), has declared an immediate mid-semester break following directives from the Bauchi State Government ordering the temporary closure of schools across the state due to rising security concerns.

The announcement was made after an Emergency Senate Meeting held on Monday, November 24, 2025. In an official circular signed by the Registrar, Halima Garba, the university directed all students to vacate the campus immediately and await further instructions regarding resumption.

Academic Activities During the Break

All physical academic activities have been suspended for the duration of the break. However, the university confirmed that virtual learning platforms will remain available, enabling students to continue academic work remotely. Students are encouraged to use this period for personal study and preparation ahead of the continuation of the semester and forthcoming examinations.

Resumption

Normal academic activities will resume once the university issues an official resumption notice.
