UNIZIK Appoints New Substantive Vice-Chancellor; Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has announced the appointment of Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie as its new substantive Vice-Chancellor, effective 18th November 2025.
The appointment, approved by the University’s Governing Council during its meeting on 16th November 2025, grants Professor Anyaehie a single five-year tenure.
A distinguished professor of Physiology and Clinical Measurements, Professor Anyaehie will succeed Professor (Dame) Carol Chinyelugo Arinze-Umobi, who has been serving as Acting Vice-Chancellor.
The announcement was made by Njelita Louis O., Acting Director of Information and Public Relations.
