UAST Ilugh Opens Undergraduate Admissions for 2025/2026 Academic Session; The University of Agriculture, Science and Technology (UAST), Ilugh, Benue State, has officially announced the commencement of undergraduate admissions for the 2025/2026 academic session. Suitable candidates who sat for the 2025/2026 JAMB UTME and met the required cut-off marks are invited to apply.
Application Process
Candidates are required to follow these steps to complete their application:
- Change Institution on JAMB CAPS
Update your institution of choice to UAST, Ilugh via the JAMB CAPS Portal at any CBT Centre or JAMB office. - Upload O’Level Results
Ensure your SSCE/WAEC/NECO results are uploaded to the JAMB CAPS Portal. - Register for Post-UTME Screening
Visit the UAST Admissions Portal at portal.bsuast.edu.ng to complete the registration. - Upload Required Documents
Upload a passport photograph, O’Level results, and UTME result slip. - Pay Post-UTME Screening Fee
A non-refundable fee of ₦2,000 is required for the Post-UTME screening. - Print Screening Slip
Print the acknowledgment slip for verification during the screening exercise.
UTME Cut-Off Marks
- Nursing Science: 160 and above
- Medical Laboratory Science: 160 and above
- Human Nutrition & Dietetics: 160 and above
- Complementary & Alternative Medicine: 160 and above
- All Other Programmes (Agriculture, Environmental Science, Engineering, Management, Education, etc.): 150 and above

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved various undergraduate programmes at UAST, including:
- Agricultural Economics & Farm Management
- Animal Science
- Computer Science
- Software Engineering
- Industrial Chemistry
- Microbiology
- Biotechnology
- Nursing Science
- Medical Laboratory Science
- Environmental Management & Toxicology
- Public Health
- And other related courses
Each programme requires a UTME subject combination and five SSCE credits, with English Language and Mathematics compulsory across all programmes.
Important Notes
- All admissions will be processed strictly through JAMB CAPS.
- Candidates must ensure that their SSCE results are uploaded on JAMB CAPS to be considered.
- Providing false information will result in deregistration and legal prosecution.
