JAMB Clarifies Its Role in NYSC Mobilisation for ND Part-Time and HND Graduates

JAMB Clarifies Its Role in NYSC Mobilisation for ND Part-Time and HND Graduates; The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued an important clarification to graduates of National Diploma (ND) Part-Time and Higher National Diploma (HND) Full-Time programmes regarding their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilisation.

In a statement released via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle @JAMBHQ on 6th November 2025, the Board emphasized that it is not involved in any delays or obstructions in the NYSC mobilisation process for graduates in these categories.

Key Points from JAMB

  • JAMB does not handle admissions into HND programmes and therefore cannot be linked to any issues arising from the NYSC mobilisation process.
  • While JAMB oversees admissions into full-time ND programmes, it does not control admissions for ND Part-Time students.
  • The Board clarified:

“Attention, ND part-time, HND full-time graduates! Please be aware that JAMB plays no role at stalling your NYSC mobilisation. For the record, JAMB has no hand in admissions into HND programmes, and for your part-time ND programme…”

Guidance for Graduates

Graduates are advised to:

  • Contact their respective institutions for issues regarding academic records or programme completion.
  • Liaise directly with NYSC for all matters related to mobilisation and service registration.

This clarification aims to dispel recurring misconceptions among graduates who often mistakenly attribute NYSC mobilisation delays to JAMB.
