UI Announces Payment of Acceptance Fee for 2025/2026 Academic Session; The management of the University of Ibadan (UI) has released an official notice to all candidates who have been offered provisional admission into the university for the 2025/2026 academic session regarding the payment of their acceptance fee.
Acceptance Fee Payment Details
All candidates who have been offered admission and have generated their admission letters on JAMB CAPS are required to pay a non-refundable Acceptance Fee of Fifty Thousand Naira (₦50,000.00) via the University Admission Portal:
The payment portal will be open from Monday, 10th November 2025 to Friday, 5th December 2025.
Please note: there will be no extension of the deadline under any circumstances.
Important Information for Admitted Candidates
Candidates who are yet to generate their admission letters on CAPS are advised to do so before making the payment.
Requests for a refund of the acceptance fee will not be entertained.
Required Documents for Upload
While completing the payment process, candidates are to upload the following documents on the portal:
- O’Level Result(s)
- PIN/SERIAL Numbers of the WAEC or NECO scratch card(s) used to verify O’Level results.
Payment Instructions
Candidates are to log in to the University Admission Portal using their registered login details and select any of the following payment options:
1. Card Payment
Make payment online using a Credit/Debit (ATM) card.
2. Bank Branch Payment
Make payment at any commercial bank using the payment slip generated from the admission portal.
After payment, candidates must log in again to the admission portal to reconcile their payment and confirm success.
Candidates are strongly advised to print their payment success receipt after completing the transaction.
Post-Payment Instructions
After successful payment of the acceptance fee, candidates are expected to present the original copies of their credentials to the designated Schedule Officers in the Undergraduate Admissions Office for clearance on a date that will be communicated later by the university.
Only candidates who are cleared successfully will be matriculated as bona fide students of the University of Ibadan during the official matriculation ceremony.
Important Notice on Verification of Credentials
If, at any point during the clearance process or afterward, it is discovered that a candidate has gained admission using insufficient, irregular, or falsified credentials, the university reserves the right to withdraw the admission immediately.
