UNIPORT Centre for Oilfield Chemicals Research 2025/2026 M.Sc. and PhD Admissions; The World Bank Africa Centre of Excellence in Oilfield Chemicals Research (ACE-CEFOR) at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its Master’s (M.Sc.) and Doctoral (Ph.D.) programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Established in 2013, ACE-CEFOR was created to promote high-quality postgraduate training and manpower development in Africa. The Centre focuses on providing internationally accredited graduate programmes that support sustainable development in the petroleum and allied industries, offering innovative research and capacity-building solutions to address key challenges in the oil and gas sector.

Admission Requirements
Ph.D. Admission Requirements:
- A relevant M.Sc. degree from the University of Port Harcourt or any other accredited institution with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale.
- A minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 5-point scale in the first degree.
M.Sc. Admission Requirements:
- A relevant first degree from the University of Port Harcourt or any other accredited institution with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 5-point scale.
General Requirements:
- All applicants must possess at least a credit pass in Mathematics and English Language in their O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent).
Duration of Programmes
- Ph.D. Programme: 36 calendar months of intensive modular courses and industry-relevant research.
- M.Sc. Programme: 12 calendar months of intensive modular courses and industry-relevant research.

- ₦50,000.00 (for Nigerian applicants)
