Amadeus University Receives NUC Approval for Three New Degree Programmes; The management of Amadeus University, Amizi, Ikwuano LGA, Umuahia, has announced that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted approval for the commencement of three new degree programmes starting from the 2025/2026 academic session.
Newly Approved Degree Programmes
The NUC-approved programmes include:
- MBBS Medicine and Surgery
- LL.B. Law
- Pharm.D. Doctor of Pharmacy
According to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel M. Nzotta, the approval came after a comprehensive assessment of the university’s human and material resources by the NUC. He further stated that admissions have already commenced for the MBBS Medicine & Surgery and Doctor of Pharmacy programmes.
Admission Requirements
To qualify for admission:
- Candidates applying for Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) must have scored 200 and above in JAMB.
- Candidates applying for Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) must have scored 180 and above in JAMB.
- In addition, applicants must possess relevant credit passes in SSCE or NECO examinations.
Interested candidates are advised to apply through the JAMB CAPS portal and change their choice of institution and course to Amadeus University as appropriate.
Ongoing Admissions and Deadline
The university also announced that admissions are ongoing for 19 other degree programmes, with the admission deadline set for November 30, 2025.
