LASU Implements Virtual Lectures for Large Classes. Lagos State University (LASU) has announced that all courses with over 400 enrolled students will now be conducted virtually, effective immediately.
This decision comes as part of the university’s ongoing digital transformation drive, aimed at improving access to learning and easing pressure on limited lecture hall spaces.
What Students and Lecturers Should Know
- Virtual Delivery: Courses exceeding 400 students will now hold online lectures, tutorials, and assessments using LASU’s approved e-learning platforms.
- Lecturers’ Role: All affected lecturers are expected to prepare and manage their classes digitally, ensuring a smooth and interactive experience.
- Student Compliance: Students must actively participate in all virtual sessions and follow university guidelines for online learning.
University Oversight
Deans of Faculties and Schools have been tasked with ensuring strict compliance and supporting staff to make this transition seamless.
Management’s Statement
The LASU Management expressed appreciation to both staff and students for their cooperation, emphasizing that the move aligns with the university’s goal of becoming a top-tier, tech-driven institution in West Africa.
“We are LASU, We are Great!”
