LASU Open and Distance Learning & Research Institute Degree Admission 2024/2025. The Lagos State University (LASU) invites qualified candidates to apply for admission into its B.Sc. Business Administration programme under the Open and Distance Learning & Research Institute (ODLRI) for the 2024/2025 Academic Session.
About the Institute
The LASU Open and Distance Learning & Research Institute (ODLRI) was established by the Senate and Council of Lagos State University and approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC). The Institute was created to serve individuals who are eager to obtain higher education but are constrained by time, work commitments, or limited spaces in conventional universities.
ODLRI provides a flexible and technology-driven learning environment that promotes independent study and research. The Institute aims to produce globally competitive graduates equipped with 21st-century skills to drive socio-economic growth and innovation.

Entry Qualifications / Admission Requirements
Applicants must possess any of the following qualifications:
- WASSCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (O’ Level) or equivalent qualification with five (5) credit passes obtained at not more than two (2) sittings, including English Language, Mathematics, and any three (3) of the following subjects: Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Government, Geography, or Business Studies.
Category of Applicants
The programme is ideal for:
- Adults who could not gain admission through the conventional university system.
- Working-class individuals seeking to obtain a university degree.
- Persons interested in developing entrepreneurial and managerial skills.
Age Eligibility
Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of admission.
Duration of Programme
The programme runs for four (4) academic years, equivalent to the standard duration of LASU’s conventional degree programmes, and includes regular academic and research components.
Mode of Teaching and Learning
Academic activities will be conducted through a blended learning model, combining online instruction, research engagement, and digital assessment tools.
Note: Applicants are required to be ICT proficient.

i. Admission is subject to the availability of space for qualified candidates.
ii. Candidates awaiting results are not eligible to apply.
iii. Only certificates, not statement of result slips, are acceptable for WASSCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO results obtained before 2010.
iv. All applications must be completed and submitted online on or before Sunday, 30th November 2025.
