LASU Releases Updated Approved Academic Calendar for 2025/2026. The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, on behalf of the University Senate, has granted executive approval for the 2025/2026 Academic Calendar. The approved schedule, based on the recommendation of the Committee of Provosts, Deans, and Directors (COPDD) during its meeting held on Thursday, 11th September 2025, outlines key academic activities for both new and returning students as follows:
FIRST SEMESTER
- Monday, 15th September – Friday, 3rd October 2025: Registration for new students (3 weeks).
- Monday, 6th October – Friday, 19th December 2025: Resumption and registration for returning students, alongside the commencement of lectures for all students (11 weeks).
- Monday, 22nd December 2025 – Friday, 2nd January 2026: End-of-year break (2 weeks).
- Monday, 5th January – Friday, 9th January 2026: Revision and late registration (₦5,000 penalty fee) (1 week).
- Monday, 12th January – Friday, 6th February 2026: First Semester Examinations (4 weeks).
- Monday, 9th February – Friday, 20th February 2026: Grading and uploading of results (2 weeks).
- Monday, 23rd February – Friday, 27th February 2026: Departmental and Faculty consideration, correction uploads, ICT result processing, collation, and Senate approval (1 week).
Total Duration:
- New Students: 24 weeks
- Returning Students: 21 weeks
SECOND SEMESTER
- Monday, 2nd March – Friday, 22nd May 2026: Resumption, registration, and lectures for all students (12 weeks).
- Monday, 25th May – Friday, 19th June 2026: Examinations (4 weeks).
- Monday, 22nd June – Friday, 3rd July 2026: Grading and uploading of results (2 weeks).
- Monday, 6th July – Friday, 10th July 2026: Departmental and Faculty result processing and ICT updates (1 week).
- Monday, 13th July – Friday, 17th July 2026: Collation and Senate meeting for final result consideration (1 week).
- Monday, 20th July 2026: End-of-session break begins.
Total Duration: 20 weeks
