WAEC GCE (2nd Series) 2025 Registration Instructions – Deadline Extended. The deadline for the 2025 WAEC GCE (2nd Series) registration has been extended to Sunday, October 19th, 2025 . Please note that PIN generation will now close on Friday, October 17th, 2025
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) wishes to inform the public and intending candidates that registration for the 2025 Second Series WASSCE for Private Candidates has commenced. The registration fee is ₦27,000. Candidates are strongly advised to read through the following guidelines carefully before registering.
Registration Guidelines
- Registration is strictly online via www.waeconline.org.ng.
- After purchasing the Registration PIN, candidates should log in to complete registration.
- Biometric features are required for validation at the examination centres.
Important Notes for Candidates
- WAEC Past Questions (objective & theory, with answers) are available online.
- This is the first WAEC GCE to adopt Computer-Based Testing (CBT).
- Candidates are encouraged to use the Myschool WAEC CBT Software or Mobile App to practice and familiarize themselves with the CBT environment.

- Registration started: Monday, June 9, 2025
- Closing date for PIN generation: Friday, October 17th, 2025
- Final deadline for online registration & biometrics: Sunday, October 19th, 2025 by 11:59 pm
Mode of Payment
- Registration fee: ₦27,000 only.
- Pay at any branch of the following banks or accredited agents to obtain the PIN and Information VCD:

- A commission fee of ₦500 is payable to the banks/agents.

Walk-In Candidates
- Candidates who miss the deadline may register as Walk-in Candidates not less than 24 hours before their paper.
- Fee: ₦45,000 only.
Candidates with Special Needs
- Must register online like all other candidates.
- Must clearly indicate their impairments (Visual, Low Vision, Speech, Spastic, Hard of Hearing, etc.).

Completion of Registration
- Registration must be completed within two weeks of first login.
- Candidates must verify their names, gender, passport photographs, dates of birth, and subjects.
- Print your Admission Notice as proof of successful registration.
- Admission Notice will contain the Result Checker PIN.
- Required fingerprint device: UareU digitalPersona.
General Information
Provide valid email & phone number during registration.
Exam Format:
Objective papers: fully CBT.
Essay & practicals: hybrid (questions on screen, answers on paper).
A Mock Exam will be available for interested candidates. Date and modalities will be communicated via SMS, email, and social media.
Key Rules:
Registration fee is non-refundable.
Timetable will be released on the WAEC website.
Passport photos must be JPEG (275×314 pixels, 72 dpi), colour or B/W, with contrasting background. Poor/defaced photos will invalidate entry.
Candidates must study the Regulations & Syllabuses, downloadable with the registration PIN.
Dress code: Mufti only, no uniforms.
Multiple centre registrations will result in cancellation.
Smoking is prohibited in exam halls.
Possession of phones/electronic gadgets in exam halls = automatic cancellation.
Candidates must come with their original Admission Notice.
Examination malpractice will lead to result cancellation and possible prosecution.
