The management of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) wishes to inform prospective candidates and the general public about the admission process for the 2025/2026 academic session as outlined below:

1. Post-UTME Participation

Only applicants who took part in the OOU post-UTME screening exercise will be considered for admission.

2. Printing of Results

Candidates are required to log on to the post-UTME portal to print their screening results.

3. Aggregate Score Requirement

To qualify for full-time admission, candidates must obtain a minimum final aggregate score of 40%.

  • The aggregate score is calculated as follows:

Final Aggregate=((UTME score + 400) x 60) + aggregate score is calculated as ((PUTME score + 100) x 40)

4. Admission on JAMB CAPS

All admission processes will strictly be conducted on the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS). Candidates must regularly log in to their JAMB profile to monitor their status and accept their admission once offered.

5. Uploading of O’level Results

Candidates who have not uploaded their O’level results — especially those from the recently released 2025 NECO — on JAMB CAPS will not be considered for admission.

6. Acceptance of Admission

Candidates offered admission on JAMB CAPS must click “Accept”. Failure to do so means:

  • No JAMB Admission Letter will be issued.
  • Registration at OOU will not be possible.

7. Printing Admission Letters & Registration

Once admission is accepted on JAMB CAPS, candidates should:

  1. Print their JAMB Admission Letter.
  2. Proceed to the OOU Admission Portal to commence the registration process.

8. Change of Course / Transfer Offers

Candidates who may be considered for programmes different from their initial choice must:

  • First accept the transfer offer on JAMB CAPS.
  • Afterwards, accept the new admission offer.
  • Then complete a Change of Course within two weeks to be able to print the updated JAMB Admission Letter.

Important: Do not attempt a Change of Course without first accepting a transfer offer on CAPS.

9. Verified Information Only

Prospective candidates are advised to disregard unverified reports from unofficial sources. All official updates will be communicated by the university through proper channels.
