UNILAG Post-UTME Screening Instructions and Guidelines for Candidates 2025/2026; The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has released the official guidelines and instructions for candidates preparing for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME Aptitude Test. All candidates are strongly advised to read carefully and follow the rules outlined below to avoid disqualification.


General Instructions for the Aptitude Test

  1. Mode of Test: The Post-UTME Aptitude Test will be conducted online and is highly competitive. Candidates must ensure they have a reliable internet connection before starting.
  2. Monitoring: All candidates will be monitored and recorded throughout the test. Comportment is mandatory.
  3. Device Requirement:
    • Only a laptop computer with an in-built webcam and microphone is allowed.
    • Mobile phones are not supported.
  4. Webcam Rules:
    • Do not cover your webcam during the test.
    • Candidates must remain visible at all times; otherwise, disqualification may apply.
  5. Movement Restrictions:
    • Candidates must remain seated once the test begins.
    • Leaving your seat during the test is prohibited.
  6. External Devices: The use of external cameras or HDMI displays is not allowed. Any attempt will result in immediate termination and possible disqualification.
  7. No Third Parties: No one, including family members, is allowed around candidates during the test. Presence of others may lead to disqualification.
  8. Test Duration:
    • The exam lasts 30 minutes.
    • Time begins immediately after clicking the start button.
    • If a candidate logs out before completion, the timer continues to count.
  9. Conduct During Test:
    • Do not speak aloud or read questions out.
    • Do not wear face masks, caps, earphones, or headphones during the exam.
  10. Environment:
    • The exam environment must be well-lit.
    • Candidates who cannot be clearly seen will be disqualified.
  11. Venue Restrictions: Candidates writing at business centres or cafés must ensure no one is moving around them.
  12. Login Access: Candidates can only log in on their scheduled date and time.
  13. Technical Issues:
    • Use the “Need Help?” button on the login or submission page for troubleshooting.
    • Report issues immediately to avoid delays. Updates will be communicated via email or the exam platform.

Steps to Take the Examination

Candidates can access the examination using any of the following methods:

  • By clicking “Go to WebTest” on the UNILAG application portal.
  • By clicking “Click Here To Take Exam” from the official email sent.
  • By logging in directly at https://unilag.proctee.webtest.ng using:
    • Username: UTME number
    • Password: Surname (lowercase)

Examination Procedure

Step 1: Click the “Take Exam” link to open the instructions page.

  • Download and install the required examination browser (Windows/macOS).
  • Only the version specified will work.

Step 2: Grant all permissions requested by the browser.

Step 3: Return to the exam page and click “Click here to take your exam” to launch the test.

System Requirements:

  • Windows 8.1 or higher
  • macOS Ventura for Mac users

Mock Examination

A Mock Examination has been scheduled to help candidates familiarise themselves with the platform:

  • Date: Monday, 25th August – Wednesday, 27th August 2025

Candidates are strongly encouraged to participate in the mock exam to:

  • Install and test the examination browser.
  • Get hands-on practice with their device.
  • Experience the platform before the main exam.
