UNICAL Post-UTME/Direct Entry (DE) Screening 2025/2026; The University of Calabar (UNICAL) invites suitably qualified candidates to participate in the Post-UTME Screening Exercise for admission into its undergraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session. All applicants are expected to carefully follow the guidelines provided below.
Opening of Portal / Registration
- Portal Opens: Friday, July 18, 2025
- Portal Closes: Monday, August 4, 2025, at 12 midnight (3 weeks after opening).
Late registration will not be allowed after the deadline.
Eligibility for Application
The following categories of candidates are eligible to apply:
- First-Choice Candidates:
- Candidates who selected University of Calabar as their first choice in the 2025/2026 JAMB UTME.
- Must have scored a minimum of 150 in the UTME.
- Change of Institution Candidates:
- Candidates who did not initially select UNICAL as their first choice but scored a minimum of 150 and wish to study at UNICAL.
- Must apply for a Change of Institution to UNICAL via the JAMB website (www.jamb.org.ng) and choose any of the approved programmes.
Important Note:
In line with CCMAS guidelines, O’Level results at two sittings are NOT accepted for Medicine and Surgery as well as Dentistry & Dental Surgery.
Method of Application / Payment and Registration Procedure
Candidates are to pay a non-refundable fee of ₦2,000.00 only via any of the methods below:
1. E-Tranzact Option
- Available in all commercial banks nationwide.
- At the bank:
- Pay and obtain an E-Tranzact PIN.
- Log into www.myunical.edu.ng, click the UTME Admission Screening link, and follow the instructions after logging in.
2. Buy Post-UTME Pin Online
- Purchase the Post-UTME PIN directly from the portal.
- Click “Buy Post-UTME Pin Online” and complete payment.
- Use the Transaction ID as your PIN to log into the portal.
Registration Steps
- Visit www.myunical.edu.ng and click the UTME Admission Screening link.
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number in the provided box.
- Enter your Confirmation Order Number or Transaction ID.
- Click Login and follow the online instructions.
- Confirm your entries and click Submit.
- Print out the completed form and PUTME Screening Schedule Printout.
Date of Post-UTME Screening Exercise
The exact date for the Post-UTME screening exercise will be indicated on the Screening Schedule Printout after completing registration.

Candidates Must Bring:
- PUTME Screening Schedule Printout
- 2025/2026 JAMB UTME Result Slip
Candidates Must NOT Bring:
- Mathematical tables
- Calculators
- Smartphones or smartwatches
- Bags of any kind
Note: Prohibited items will be confiscated, and UNICAL will not be held responsible for any loss.
Disqualification Warning
Any candidate who makes false declarations of UTME scores, O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB), or State of Origin shall be automatically disqualified and will not be considered for admission.
