HND Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission into the Auchi Polytechnic HND programme, you must meet the following conditions:
- JAMB ND Admission: You must have been officially admitted into your ND programme through JAMB. Candidates without a JAMB Admission Letter or Registration Number are not eligible.
- ND Certificate: Applicants must hold a National Diploma (ND) certificate from Auchi Polytechnic or any other accredited institution. The ND must be in the same or related course as the intended HND programme.
- O’Level Requirements:
- Minimum of five (5) credits in one sitting, or six (6) credits in two sittings
- Must include English Language and Mathematics
- Acceptable results from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB
Additional Subject Requirements for Some Departments
- Mass Communication: Credit in Literature in English
- Accountancy & Business Administration: Credit in Economics or Commerce
- Estate Management & Urban Planning: Credit in Economics or Geography

Industrial Work Experience
You are expected to have completed at least one year of industrial attachment after your ND. If you graduated with a pass grade, you must show evidence of two years of post-ND industrial experience.
Transcript Submission
Candidates whose ND was not obtained from Auchi Polytechnic must arrange for their academic transcript to be sent to the institution. This is a mandatory part of the admission process.
How to Apply for Auchi Polytechnic HND Admission
Step 1: Pay the Application Fee
- The application fee is ₦20,000.
- Payment must be made through the Remita platform.
- Always begin your application and payment from the official Auchi Polytechnic official portal
- Avoid third-party websites or agents.
Step 2: Fill Out the Online Application Form
- Visit the Auchi Polytechnic admission portal
- Select your programme type (Morning, Evening, or Degree)
- Click on “Apply for 2025/2026 Auchi Polytechnic HND”
- Fill in your personal and academic details
- Create a unique username (preferably your phone number) and a secure password
- Generate your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR)
- Make payment either online or at any bank
- After payment, allow a few hours before continuing the application
Step 3: Complete the Application and Print Documents
- Log in using your details
- Upload all required documents
- Print the following:
- One copy of the acknowledgement slip
- Two copies of the completed application form
- One application summary sheet
- Place these documents along with photocopies of your credentials, birth certificate, Remita e-receipt, and two passport photographs in a clearly labelled envelope.
