Apply For The NWDC Foreign Scholarship 2025/2026; If you’re a student from Nigeria’s North-West region with strong academic results and big dreams of studying abroad, the NWDC Foreign Scholarship 2025/2026 may be your opportunity.
This fully-funded scholarship is open to eligible candidates from the seven North-Western states of Nigeria: Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara. Applicants must prove their origin with official Local Government Area (LGA) and State Indigene Certificates.
Age Limit and Eligibility by Study Level
The scholarship supports Undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD programs, with the following age restrictions:
- Undergraduate applicants: Must be 22 years or younger
- Master’s applicants: Must be 35 years or younger
- PhD applicants: Must be 40 years or younger
Make sure your age aligns with the level you’re applying for before you proceed.

Academic Requirements

Each level of study has its own academic expectations:
Undergraduate
- A distinction in three science subjects in your O’Level (WAEC/NECO)
- At least five credits in other subjects, obtained in no more than two sittings
Master’s
- A minimum CGPA of 3.8 in your Bachelor’s degree
PhD
- A minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 scale in your Master’s degree
Eligible Courses of Study
Your course of study must fall under the following fields to be considered:
- Engineering
- Medical Sciences
- Agriculture
- ICT and Education
Applications for programs outside these fields will not be accepted.
