Chizi Wigwe Prize for African Futurism 2025; The Chizi Wigwe Prize for African Futurism 2025 is now accepting applications. Organized by the 1952 Africa Foundation in partnership with the HOW Foundation, this prestigious prize supports African artists exploring the future of Africa through art and storytelling.

Theme: “Africa in 2100”
Artists are encouraged to reflect on the following questions in their work:
- What will African societies look like in 2100?
- How will technology impact cultural traditions, art, and development?
- What role will Africa play in global challenges and progress?
Prize
- The winner of the Chizi Wigwe Prize will receive $15,000.
Who Can Apply?
- Open to artists and creatives across Africa.
- Applicants must be between 18 and 45 years old.
- Entries must be original and aligned with the theme “Africa in 2100”.
- All artistic disciplines and mediums are accepted.

Application Process
Applicants must submit the following:
