Eligibility Criteria: BBSRC Fellowships Scheme 2025 in the UK Now Open for Applications

The BBSRC Fellowship is open to early-career researchers and research technical professionals seeking to establish themselves as independent researchers. Applicants must:

  • Be based at a UK research organization eligible for BBSRC funding.
  • Hold a recently completed PhD or a higher qualification OR possess relevant research/innovation employment experience.
  • Have no restrictions on postdoctoral or work experience years.
  • Be eligible if they hold fellowships such as Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions, Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Fellowships, or Daphne Jackson Trust Fellowships.
  • Be PhD candidates expecting to pass their viva before 30 November 2025.
