University of Abuja (Now Yakubu Gowon University)
- Governing Council Dissolved (both external and internal members).
- Senator Lanre Tejuoso appointed Pro-Chancellor, moving from University of Agriculture, Makurdi.
- Prof. Lar Patricia Manko appointed Acting Vice-Chancellor (six-month tenure, not eligible for substantive role).
- Prof. Maikudi removed as Vice-Chancellor.
University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN)
- Engr. Akin Ojo reassigned as Pro-Chancellor of UNN, moving from Federal University of Lokoja.
- Gen. Ike Nwachukwu reassigned from UNN to University of Uyo as Pro-Chancellor.
- Prof. Oguejiofu T. Ujam appointed Acting Vice-Chancellor (six-month tenure, not eligible for substantive role).
- Current Acting Vice-Chancellor’s tenure ends on 14th February 2025, with no renewal.
