IAUE Secures NUC Approval for 14 New Programmes. The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved the establishment of 14 new academic programmes at Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt. These programmes will begin in the 2024/2025 academic session and will be offered on a full-time basis at the University’s main campus.

Approval Details
The NUC conveyed its approval in a letter dated 11 December 2024, addressed to the Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Okechuku Onuchuku, by the Acting Director of Academic Planning, Abubakar M. Girel, and signed on behalf of the Acting Executive Secretary, Mallam Chris J. Maiyaki.
This decision followed a thorough assessment visit by experts who evaluated the University’s resources and readiness to host the new programmes.
