Scholarship Overview
The Mastercard Foundation and Arizona State University (ASU) have partnered to support 120 African students over five years (2025 to 2030). The program offers a two-year on-campus master’s degree focused on developing technology and innovation skills to meet the demands of the global digital economy.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of an African country.
- Demonstrate leadership skills and a commitment to ethical leadership.
- Be actively engaged in community service.
- Hold an undergraduate degree by July 2025.
- Be between the ages of 18 and 33 by the application deadline.
- Meet the academic requirements for admission, including English proficiency.
- Be able to reside in Phoenix, Arizona for the duration of the program.
Application Process
- Complete the scholarship application.
- If selected, you will receive assistance with the application process for admission to Arizona State University.
- Interviews will be conducted via phone or video call in November 2024, with final decisions announced by January 2025.
- Successful applicants will join the program in August 2025 in Phoenix, Arizona.
