Applications Open for the Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) Program 2025. The Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) Program is now accepting applications for its 2025 sessions. This prestigious program invites outstanding high school students from around the world to join a two-week interdisciplinary learning experience on the historic campus of Yale University.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the YYGS 2025 Program, applicants must:
- Age: Be between 16-18 years old by July 20, 2025 (Session III start date).
- English Fluency: Be proficient in English as the curriculum is conducted in English.
- Grade Level: Be a current high school sophomore or junior (or international equivalent).
- Graduation Date: Graduate in May/June 2026 or 2027 (Northern Hemisphere) or November/December 2025 or 2026 (Southern Hemisphere).
- First-Time Participants: This must be your first time attending YYGS. However, if you previously applied but were not admitted or could not attend, you can reapply if you still meet the eligibility criteria.
Application Components
YYGS reviews applications holistically. The required components are:
- Activities List: Include all your extracurricular activities.
- Essays: One 400-word essay and one 200-word response.
- Fast Take Responses: Two short-answer responses (280 characters each).
- School Transcript: An official copy of your high school transcript.
- Recommendation: One recommender must complete the YYGS Recommendation Form.
- Application Fee: $75 USD (Early Action) or $90 USD (Regular Decision).
Optional submissions:
- English fluency test scores (such as TOEFL or DuoLingo) if applicable.
- Need-based financial aid request.
