Screening Process Overview

The screening exercise will adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. No Further Post-UTME Test: Admission decisions will be based solely on candidates’ JAMB UTME scores. For Direct Entry candidates, the screening will be based on the documents uploaded during their application.
  2. Data Screening: The University will review the data provided by candidates through the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS), which has also been uploaded to the IAUE portal.
  3. Course Change Notification: Candidates who performed well in JAMB but did not rank high in their chosen course may be advised to change courses. This ensures accurate admission ranking based on the UTME and O’level combinations as required by JAMB’s Integrated Brochure and Syllabus System (IBASS).

Actions Required for Candidates

Candidates must undertake the following:

  • Monitor Admission Status: Regularly check the JAMB portal for any necessary updates. These updates may include:
    • Course Change: Some candidates may need to change their course within a specified timeframe.
    • Data Corrections: Certain details might need to be corrected on the JAMB portal.
Affected candidates will receive notifications via secure text messages. Candidates are advised to verify any such information on the University’s official website and social media pages.
  • Awaiting O’Level Results: If you are awaiting your O’Level results, the online screening will be conducted once the results are uploaded to both the JAMB and University portals. A new screening date will be set for such candidates.
  • Screening Commencement: The online screening exercise is scheduled to begin on Monday, 26th August 2024.
