Admission Procedure
NBU welcomes applicants from all backgrounds. The following steps outline the admission procedure:
Step 1: Choose Your Programme Explore the undergraduate programmes offered by NBU.
Step 2: Confirm Admission Procedures
- Nigerian Applicants:
- At least five Ordinary Level credit passes at SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, NABAIS) or equivalent in relevant subjects, in no more than two sittings.
- An acceptable score in the UTME as specified by JAMB.
- Foreign Applicants:
- Provide corresponding examination results and academic transcripts from previous high schools.
- Transfer and Direct Entry Students:
- Must have completed one of the following: OND, NCE, HND, ‘A’ level GCE, JUPEB, IJMB, or any other higher qualification approved and recognised by JAMB.
Step 3: Check Admission Requirements Ensure you meet the specific entry requirements for your chosen programme.
Step 4: Complete the Application Form Fill out the online application form on the NBU Admissions Portal. Ensure all information provided is accurate and up to date. Review your application before submission.
Step 5: Await Admission Decision Your application will be reviewed by the admissions committee. Decisions are usually communicated via email within a few weeks. Updates will be provided regarding the status of your application and any additional documents or information needed. Successful candidates will receive a Provisional Admission letter outlining the next steps.
Step 6: Accept Your Provisional Admission Offer Confirm your acceptance by following the instructions in your offer letter and paying the designated acceptance fee.
Step 7: Prepare for Onboarding After confirming your acceptance and fee payment, you will receive an onboarding checklist to help you prepare.
