Kogi State Poly Releases 2024/2025HND/ Pre-ND and IJMB admissions Forms; The Kogi State Polytechnic has commenced sales of admission forms for its regular Higher National Diploma (HND), Pre-ND, and IJMB programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session. Below are the details of the application process, available courses, and entry requirements.

Application Details

  • Sales Period: Ongoing
  • Method of Payment: Generate RRR number for Admission form and screening fee from the Polytechnic portal Kogi State Polytechnic Portal and proceed to make payment.
  • Submission: Submit hard copies of credentials at the Polytechnic Admission office on or before the screening date.

Entry Requirements

1. School of Applied Sciences

  • HND in Computer Science:
    • ND in Computer Science with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50)
    • Five credits in O’Level (NECO/WAEC/GCE/NABTEB) including English, Mathematics, Physics, another Science subject, and a Social Science subject.
    • 1-year industrial training (2 years if pass in ND).
  • HND in Statistics:
    • ND in Statistics with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50)
    • Five credits in O’Level including English, Mathematics, and three other Science or Social Science subjects.
    • 1-year industrial training (2 years if pass in ND).
  • HND in Science Laboratory Technology:
    • ND in Science Laboratory Technology with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50)
    • Five credits in O’Level including English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, another Science subject, and a Social Science subject.
    • 1-year industrial training (2 years if pass in ND).

2. School of Arts, Design, and Printing

  • HND in Industrial Design and Fine Arts:
    • ND in Fine Arts with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50)
    • Five credits in O’Level including English, Mathematics, Fine Arts or Visual Arts, Chemistry, History, Biology, Literature in English, Clothing and Textiles, Religious Knowledge, and any other Science.
    • 1-year industrial training (2 years if pass in ND).

3. School of Engineering Technology

  • HND in Mineral Resources Engineering:
    • ND in Mineral Resources Engineering with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50)
    • Five credits in O’Level including English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Metalwork, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics, Geography.
    • 1-year industrial training (2 years if pass in ND).
  • HND in Metallurgical and Material Engineering:
    • ND in Metallurgical and Material Engineering with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50)
    • Five credits in O’Level including English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and three other Science subjects.
    • 1-year industrial training (2 years if pass in ND).

4. School of Environmental Technology

  • HND in Urban and Regional Planning:
    • ND in Urban and Regional Planning with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50)
    • Five credits in O’Level including English, Mathematics, Geography, and two subjects from Economics, Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Fine Art.
    • 1-year industrial training (2 years if pass in ND).

5. School of Management Studies

  • HND in Accountancy, Business Administration, Library and Information Science, Office Technology and Management, and Public Administration:
    • ND in relevant field with a minimum of lower credit (CGPA 2.50)
    • Five credits in O’Level including English, Mathematics, and other relevant subjects as specified per course.
    • 1-year industrial training (2 years if pass in ND).

Method of Application

  1. Generate RRR Number: Go to the Kogi State Polytechnic Portal and generate two different RRR numbers for the admission form and screening fee.
  2. Payment: Make payment using the generated RRR numbers.
  3. Submit Credentials: Submit hard copies of your credentials at the Polytechnic Admission office before the screening date.
