Important guidelines for BUK screening exercise for Direct Entry candidates, 2023/2024:
- Visit a JAMB Office or Accredited CBT Centre to upload ‘O’ Level results (e.g., WAEC, NECO) on the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).
- Providing false information leads to disqualification. Candidates can submit a maximum of two different ‘O’ Level examination results.
Exceptions for National “O” level results:
- NBAIS is acceptable for B.A. Arabic, B.A. Islamic Studies, and B.A. Sharia in the Faculty of Arts and Islamic Studies.
- NABTEB is not accepted for certain faculties within the College of Health Sciences.
Application Procedure:
Step 1: Visit the Bayero University website: http://www.buk.edu.ng and click on “2023 DE ONLINE SCREENING EXERCISE.”
Step 2: Profile Update – DE candidates should log in using their JAMB DE Registration Number, State, and Gender. Complete the form, noting that the uploaded photograph from JAMB serves as valid ID at Bayero University, Kano.
Step 3: Generate BUK PPI – Download your Personalised Payment Invoice (PPI) containing the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) for the N2,000.00 screening cost. Payment options include online methods or printing the invoice for payment at any Commercial Bank nationwide. After online payment, candidates can instantly generate and print their acknowledgment slip. For bank payments, candidates should verify their payment on the site before printing the acknowledgment card.
