EKSU Gets Full Accreditation for Nursing Sciences and 42 Other Programs :The Nursing Sciences program and 42 other academic programs at Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, have received full accreditation status from relevant accreditation bodies.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), in a letter dated May 20, 2024, addressed to the EKSU Vice-Chancellor, conveyed the Council’s approval for the university’s Nursing Sciences program “for five years after which the institution shall be revisited for reassessment.”
EKSU Gets Full Accreditation for Nursing Sciences and 42 Other Programs
The letter, signed by the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Council, Dr. Faruk Abubakar, further stated that the Nursing Sciences program “is adequate in content and coverage and is in line with that of the NMCN.” The Council also approved an upward review of the university’s annual intake of students from 50 to 100.
In a similar development, 42 other academic programs across various faculties of the university, presented to the National Universities Commission (NUC), received full accreditation status for five years.
The University community received this positive news with admiration, while the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Edward Olanipekun, has received accolades for this development.
