Wells Mountain Education Scholarship Program 2024 For Undergraduate Students; The Wells Mountain Foundation (WMF) is dedicated to fostering education and community service by providing scholarships to secondary school graduates from developing countries.

The Empowerment through Education Scholarship Program aims to empower individuals to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in their home country or another developing nation.

This opportunity not only enhances the recipients’ future but also contributes to the progress of their communities through required community service.

About the Wells Mountain Education Scholarship Program:

The Wells Mountain Foundation has been offering undergraduate scholarships since 2005, focusing on students from developing countries. The foundation’s belief in the transformative power of education and community service is evident through its commitment to shaping future leaders who will positively impact their societies.

Scholarship recipients are required to dedicate a minimum of one month per year to volunteer work.

Who is Eligible to Apply:

To qualify for the Wells Mountain Education Scholarship Program, applicants must be students from a developing country who:

  • Have completed secondary education with good to excellent grades
  • Intend to study in their home country or another developing nation
  • Plan to live and work in their own country after graduation
  • Have a volunteering history or are willing to volunteer while receiving the WMF scholarship
  • May have some other funds available for their education but cannot pursue education without a scholarship

Number of Awards: 10 to 30 per year

Benefits: The maximum scholarship amount is $3,000 USD, covering:

  • Tuition and fees
  • Books and materials
  • Room rent and meals

How to Apply:

Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation from individuals who can attest to their character and qualifications.

The recommenders should explain why the applicant deserves the scholarship and how they embody qualities of an excellent student, a successful graduate, and a responsible citizen committed to giving back to their country.
