Here are the detailed step-by-step guidelines for the application process:
Pen Resource University, Gombe Stream II Admission, 2023/2024
- Complete Application Form: Candidates can fill out the application form on the admissions portal via https://portal.pru.edu.ng/Account/SignUp or in paper format. Attach the necessary documents and materials or send the application to the Admissions Office. Applicants will receive notification of the application receipt via email, SMS, and phone call from the Admissions Office.
- Confirmation of Application: After submitting the application, the Admissions department will acknowledge receipt within 24 hours via phone, email, or on the application dashboard.
- Application Review: The admission committee will assess the application to ensure compliance with requirements. If eligible, applicants will be asked to pay a commitment fee of N30,000 to facilitate the preparation of their admission letter.
- Physical Verification: Physical verification takes place at the Pen Resource University city campus. It serves to further understand applicants, verify submitted documents, discuss future plans, reasons for interest in the course, preferred subjects, and comprehension of the internship program.
- Payment of Fees: Upon successful completion of verification, candidates can proceed to pay tuition fees and other charges. This step precedes course registration and enrollment across university portals.
Admission Requirements for UTME Candidates:
- Completed PRU application form
- JAMB UTME scores or A-Level qualifications
- Scores from end-of-school leaving exams (IGCSE, WASSCE, NECO, GCE ‘O’ Level, Cambridge ‘O’ Level)

- Post-Secondary Transcripts/Certificate
- Recommendation letter(s) from post-secondary academic sources
- Photocopy of international passport, national ID, driver’s license, or secondary school ID
- Personal statement (Essay) explaining the choice of PRU and future ambitions.
