UNIDEL gets NUC approval for Medicine / Nursing and other Programmes; The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted its approval to establish full-time undergraduate programs at the University of Delta State Agbor.

These programs will be offered by the university starting from the 2023/2024 Academic Session. This exciting development was confirmed in an official release signed by Abubakar M. Girei, on behalf of the Acting Executive Secretary of NUC, Chris J. Maiyaki.
The approval for these programs came after a thorough and successful Resource Verification Visit carried out by a panel of experts. The following undergraduate programs have been approved:

1. MBBS: Medicine and Surgery
2. B.NSc: Nursing Science
3. B.Sc: Public Health
4. B.MLS: Medical Laboratory Science
5. B.Sc: Geography and Environmental Management
6. B.Sc: Peace and Conflict Studies
7. B.Sc: Agriculture
8. B.Sc: Animal Science
9. B.Sc: Crop Science
10. B.Sc: Home Science and Management
11. Physical and Health Education, which is now split into:
- B.Sc (Ed): Human Kinetics and Sports Science
- B.Sc: Health Education
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Stella Chiemeke, announced this momentous news during a recent Senate meeting. She expressed her immense joy and commended the dedication of the university’s staff, emphasizing that the growth and advancement of the institution are a collaborative endeavor.
Witnesses described a palpable atmosphere of celebration and jubilation within the Senate as the Vice Chancellor shared the news, signifying the significance of this achievement for the University of Delta State Agbor and its academic community.
