General Requirements:
- Professor: Candidates should possess a PhD degree in the relevant discipline with at least ten (10) years of post-qualification, full-time teaching and research experience in a university, including at least two (2) years as an Associate Professor. Candidates must have twenty-eight (28) scholarly publications in both local and international journals, and registration with the relevant professional body. Administrative experience is also required.
- Associate Professor: Same qualifications as a Professor, but with eight (8) years teaching and research experience in a university, with at least two (2) years as a Senior Lecturer. Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience.
- Senior Lecturer: Same qualifications as a Professor, but with five (5) years teaching and research experience in a university, and at least ten (10) scholarly publications. Candidates must have two (2) years as a Lecturer I and sufficient administrative experience.
- Lecturer I: Candidates must have a PhD degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution, with three (3) years teaching experience and not less than three (3) journal publications.
- Lecturer II: PhD degree with no paper and no gestation period, or M.Sc. with one (1) journal publication or two referred conference proceedings.
- Assistant Lecturer: Candidate should possess a Master’s degree with at least two (2) years of teaching and research experience in a university, and must be on a PhD programme.
