Introducing New Programmes at Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja – 2023/2024 Post UTME Screening
Aspiring candidates can now apply for the National Diploma (ND) courses in the following fields:
- ND Agricultural & Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology
- ND Horticultural Technology
- ND Mechatronic Engineering Technology
- ND Computer Engineering Technology
Entry Requirements
Candidates interested in these programmes must meet the following criteria:
- ND Agricultural & Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology:
- Obtain a minimum score of 100 in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Possess five credit level passes in GCE “O” level or Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) at not more than two sittings. The five subjects must include Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science, or Chemistry, and any other subject.
- ND Horticultural Technology:
- Attain a minimum score of 100 in the 2023 UTME.
- Have five credit level passes in GCE “O” level or SSCE at not more than two sittings. The required subjects are Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science, or Chemistry, and any other subject.
- ND Mechatronic Engineering Technology:
- Score a minimum of 100 in the 2023 UTME.
- Possess five credit passes at the credit level in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and a science subject (such as Biology, Agricultural Science, Metal Work, Auto-mechanics, Basic Electronics, Basic Electricity, or Technical Drawing).
- ND Computer Engineering Technology:
- Attain a minimum score of 100 in the 2023 UTME.
- Have five credit passes at not more than two sittings. The relevant subjects include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and one other subject from: Metal Work, Woodwork, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics, Basic Electricity, Economics, Commerce, Statistics, Further Mathematics, Computer Studies, Geography, and Biology or Agricultural Science.

Eligible candidates should visit the Kogi State Polytechnic website at https://portal.kogistatepolytechnic.edu.ng. Upon payment of a non-refundable registration fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00), applicants will gain access to the online application forms. Detailed instructions on payment and filling out the Post UTME form can be found on the website.
