This announcement was made during the 108th Regular Senate Meeting of the University on Thursday, 6th July 2023. In this article, we provide an overview of the new Deputy Vice-Chancellors and their impressive backgrounds.

Professor Abdullahi Sallau Modibbo – Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic:

Professor Modibbo, a renowned scholar, holds the position of Professor of International Relations and Diplomacy in the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Social Sciences at NSUK. His wealth of experience includes various administrative roles both within and outside the University.

Notably, he served as the Chairman of the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission from 2012 to 2017. Additionally, he has been the Dean of Students Affairs since 2019, showcasing his commitment to fostering a conducive academic environment for students.

Professor Theophilus Daniel Lagi – Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration:

Professor Lagi, an esteemed academician, specializes in Industrial Sociology and is affiliated with the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences at NSUK. Prior to his appointment as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, he served as the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Professor Lagi brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to his new role. Moreover, he is currently a Governing Council Member, representing the Congregation, which further highlights his dedication to the University community.
