Edo State Govt Announces Automatic Employment To All First-Class Graduates Of Edo Origin; Mr. Godwin Obaseki, Governor of Edo State, has approved the automatic hiring of first-class graduates of Edo origin from all Nigerian colleges into the state’s civil and public service. The Edo State Head of Service, Anthony Okungbowa Esq., announced the approval in a statement.

Okungbowa, who hailed the governor for the generosity, described it as a trailblazing and commendable step that would provide the Edo State Civil and Public Service with the brightest minds to help realize the governor’s objective of making Edo the best place to live and work by 2050.
He noted that the gift was first extended to the best-graduating students at Edo State University, Uzairue during its 3rd Convocation Ceremony, and then to the University of Benin and Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
He urged vice-chancellors of Nigerian universities to transmit the names and contact information of First Class students from Edo State to the Edo State Government for this reason.
