IAUE announces 6 new departments

IAUE announces 6 new departments; The administration of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education has announced the creation of six new departments.

Entrepreneurship, employment and human resource management, and social works are the departments. Science education, business education, and social science education are some of the others.

Meanwhile, the National Universities Commission had already approved the banking and finance department (NUC).

Professor Okechuku Onuchuku, the institution’s Acting Vice-Chancellor, made the news on March 31 at the university auditorium during the institution’s matriculation ceremony.

He stated that expanding academic programs would increase the number of admission opportunities for indigenes and inhabitants of the state.

Onuchuku guaranteed the newcomers that his administration would help them find quality higher education that would prepare them for the knowledge-driven economy of the twenty-first century.

The VC reminded the students that their main goal in coming to the school was to study and graduate with good grades, and he urged those who have a passion for sports to engage because of the possible chances in the business.

Onuchuku also encouraged the newcomers to avoid cultism, examination malpractice, and other vices, while emphasizing the need of adhering to the university’s laws and regulations.

He urged parents to pay their children’s fees and other levies on time and to continually check their academic achievement.

The VC commended the Rivers State government for its support of the university, praised parents for their faith in the school, and promised them that their faith will not be taken for granted.

More than 7, 077 pupils were accepted. Six thousand seven hundred students were admitted through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), whereas 341 were admitted through ‘A’ level/direct entry.
