AAUA Releases 2022/2023 Pre-Degree Admission Form; Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into PRE-DEGREE PROGRAMMES of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria for the 2022/2023 Academic Session.
AAUA PRE-DEGREE PROGRAMMES ON OFFER
The Pre-degree programme lasts for one academic session. Each candidate who successfully completes the programme, after adequate counseling, will choose from the degree programmes listed hereunder. Placements would, however, depend on performance and available spaces. Candidates must also take the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to be eligible for consideration for admission into the University and must obtain a minimum score as may be determined by the University.
PRE-DEGREE SCIENCE
Biochemistry, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Animal & Environmental Biology, Geology, Geophysics, Mathematics, Industrial Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics with Electronics, and Plant Science & Biotechnology.
PRE-DEGREE SCIENCE EDUCATION
Biology Education, Chemistry Education, Computer Science Education, Health Education, Human Kinetics, Integrated Science Education, Mathematics Education, Physics Education, and Technical Education.
PRE-DEGREE ARTS
Linguistics & Yoruba, Religion & African Culture, Performing Arts, Yoruba, Linguistics, and Philosophy.
PRE-DEGREE ARTS EDUCATION
Adult Education, English Education, History Education, Religious Education, Yoruba Education, and Library and Information Studies.
PRE-DEGREE SOCIAL SCIENCES
Geography & Planning Science, Pure and Applied Psychology
PRE-DEGREE SOCIAL SCIENCE EDUCATION

PRE-DEGREE ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT
Architecture, Estate Management, Surveying and Geoinformatics, and Urban and Regional Planning.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
NOTE: Credit passes in English language and Mathematics are required for all courses.
PRE-DEGREE ARTS AND PRE-DEGREE ARTS EDUCATION
A minimum of 5 Credit passes at SSCE (NECO, NABTEB, or WAEC) were obtained at not more than two sittings. These include Mathematics, English Language, and any of CRK/IRK/Arabic Studies, History/Government. A Credit pass in Literature in English will be required for English Education; a credit pass in Yoruba is required for B.A. Yoruba or any language for B.A. Linguistics.
The five Credit passes must include English Language, Mathematics, any of CRK/IRK/Arabic Studies, and two subjects from either Arts or Social Sciences for Religion and African Culture.
2. PRE-DEGREE SCIENCE & PRE-DEGREE SCIENCE EDUCATION
A minimum of five Credit passes at SSCE (NECO, NABTEB, or WAEC) are obtained at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
3. PRE-DEGREE SOCIAL SCIENCE
A minimum of five Credit passes at SSCE (NECO, NABTEB, or WAEC) were obtained at not more than two sittings. These must include Mathematics, English Language, and three other Social Science subjects. Those willing to study GEOGRAPHY AND PLANNING SCIENCE must have Credit in Geography in addition to two other subjects. Those willing to study PURE & APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY must have Credit in Biology.
4. PRE-DEGREE SOCIAL SCIENCE EDUCATION
A minimum of five Credit passes at SSCE (NECO or WAEC) are obtained at not more than two sittings. These must include Mathematics, English Language, and three other Social Science subjects. Those willing to study GEOGRAPHY EDUCATION must have Credit in Geography in addition to two other subjects.
5. PRE-DEGREE AGRICULTURE
A minimum of five Credit passes at SSCE (NECO, NABTEB, or WAEC) were obtained at not more than two sittings. These must include Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agric Science, and Physics.
NOTE: (a) a Credit pass in Economics is required for Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Extension and Rural Development with at least a pass in Physics, (b) a Credit pass in Agric Science is acceptable for Agronomy, Fisheries & Aquaculture, Animal Science, and Forestry & Wildlife Management with at least a pass in Biology.
6. PRE-DEGREE ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT
PRE-DEGREE ARCHITECTURE: A minimum of five Credit passes at SSCE (NECO, NABTEB, or WAEC) obtained at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any two from Chemistry, Biology, Technical drawing, Fine Arts, Geography, Economics, Building Construction, Land Surveying.
PRE-DEGREE ESTATE MANAGEMENT: A minimum of five Credit passes at SSCE (NECO, NABTEB, or WAEC) obtained at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any two from Chemistry, Biology/Agric Sci, Commerce, Geography, Technical Drawing.
PRE-DEGREE SURVEYING AND GEOINFORMATICS: A minimum of five Credit passes at SSCE (NECO, NABTEB, or WAEC) obtained at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any two from Chemistry, Biology/Agric Sci., Technical Drawing, Fine Arts, Geography, Economics.
PRE-DEGREE URBAN AND REGIONAL PLANNING: A minimum of five Credit passes at SSCE (NECO, NABTEB, or WAEC) obtained at not more than two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Geography, and any two from Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Agric Sci., Technical Drawing, Fine Arts, Government, and Economics.
7. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
(a) Admission into 100 level from Pre-degree is not automatic.
(b) Pre-degree candidates are required to take the 2023 UTME and obtain the minimum score as determined by the University.
(c) Admission of candidates will be dependent on their Weighted Average Score in the two semesters, the UTME score, and their ranking with respect to the cut-off marks for the chosen courses.

Make payment. The procedure to make payment is as follows:
1. log in to your account.
2. Go to Payment Method
3. Then Click on “Pay Now” [Ten Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty (#10,350) only inclusive of bank commission]
When you click on “Make Payment Now” you would be directed to PayTech, which is the Payment Gateway.
At the Payment Gateway, supply your MasterCard or Visa Card information.
Your Bank would automatically send a Token (a set of numbers) to you.
Use the Token to authenticate and complete your payment.
After authenticating and completing your payment, you would be re-directed to your dashboard.
Click on “Application Form”, complete, and submit your application form online.
Click on “Finalize Application Form” and print your acknowledgment slip.
Ensure to print your acknowledgment slip and await SMS for your admission information on the phone later.
MAKE SURE YOU LOG OUT FROM YOUR APPLICATION WHEN YOU ARE DONE.
NO APPLICANT SHOULD COME TO AKUNGBA FOR THE SUBMISSION OF A HARD COPY/PHYSICAL FORM. ONCE YOU SUBMIT ONLINE, IT IS DONE. BE WARNED.
