The programme is designed to prepare candidates with deficiencies in their O’Level results to successfully re-sit for the examination and prepare for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for admission into the 100 Level Degree programmes of Lagos State University.

Key Information:
- Programme Duration: One (1) Academic Session, from October 2023 to September 2024.
- Location: Lagos State University, Epe Campus.
Why Pre-Degree Studies (PDS)?
Candidates who participate in the PDS programme have a higher chance of securing admission through the PDS quota provided by Lagos State University, compared to those who solely rely on the general admission process.
Admission Requirements:
(a) Candidates must have credits in at least three (3) subjects, including Mathematics, English Language, and any other relevant subjects in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE), GCE, or NECO, not more than two (2) sittings.
(b) Candidates who meet the admission requirements will be invited for a written qualifying examination.

Criteria for Transitioning to 100 Level:
To transition to 100 Level, each candidate must:
- Sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtain the minimum JAMB Cut Off Mark for University Admission.
- Comply with the University Screening Test.
- Register for WAEC and/or NECO to clear any deficiencies in their O’Level results and pass all relevant deficient subjects.
Method of Application:
- Visit the Lagos State University website at www.lasu.edu.ng and select the “MAKE PAYMENT” option in the drop-down list to make a payment of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000:00) for the 2023/2024 LASU Pre–Degree Studies.
- After payment, proceed to register online.
Closing Date:
Application submission closes six (6) weeks from the date of this publication.
Qualifying Examination and Interview:
The date for the Qualifying Examination and Interview for successful candidates will be announced at a later date.
