2026 Scholarship at University of Twente Netherlands; The University of Twente Scholarship (UTS) for the 2026/2027 academic year is now open for applications. This prestigious scholarship supports outstanding international students from non-EU/EEA countries who wish to pursue a Master’s degree at one of Europe’s most innovative universities — the University of Twente, Netherlands.


Scholarship Overview

  • Deadline:
    • Round 1: 15 October 2025 (09:00 CET) – 1 February 2026 (16:00 CET)
    • Round 2: Up to 1 May 2026 (for September 2026 intake)

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of a non-EU/EEA country.
  • Have provisional admission to a UT Master’s programme for 2026/2027.
  • Not have graduated from a UT undergraduate or graduate programme.
  • Belong to the top 5–10% of their graduating class.
  • Hold a valid UT student number after securing admission.
  • Meet English language requirements:
    • IELTS: 6.5 overall, with at least 6.0 in speaking, OR
    • TOEFL iBT: 90 overall, with at least 20 in speaking.
  • Be able to finance remaining study and living costs (since UTS is partial funding).
  • Comply with Dutch visa requirements (if applicable).

Scholarship Value

  • Award range: €3,000 – €22,000 for one year.
  • For two-year Master’s programmes, renewal is possible under these conditions:
    • Maintain an average grade of ≥ 7/10 by the end of the 3rd quartile.
    • Earn at least 50% of European Credits (ECs).

Eligible Fields

All Master’s degree programmes at the University of Twente are eligible except:

  • Pre-Master’s programmes
  • ITC faculty programmes
  • Dutch/EU/EEA students paying statutory tuition fees

  2. Obtain a UT student number after admission.
  3. Submit an application for the University of Twente Scholarship (UTS) via the official scholarship portal.
