2026 Fully Funded Global Korea Scholarship for International Students; The Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) 2026 is now open for applications. Funded by the Korean Government, this fully funded scholarship provides outstanding international students with the opportunity to pursue undergraduate studies at top universities in South Korea (대한민국).
The program aims to promote international education exchange and strengthen mutual understanding between Korea and participating countries.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants will receive full financial support throughout their studies, including:
- Airfare: Economy class flight ticket (actual cost covered).
- Tuition Fees: Full coverage.
- NIIED: up to 5 million KRW.
- University: additional amount exceeding 5 million KRW (including admission fees).
- Living Allowance: 900,000 KRW monthly stipend.
- Korean Language Training: 12,840,000 KRW per year.
- Undergraduate Degree Program Support: 13,680,000 KRW per year.
- Additional Benefits: Health insurance, Korean proficiency grants, TOPIK application fee, settlement allowance, and degree completion grants.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must hold citizenship of an NIIED-designated country eligible for the GKS program.
- Academic Requirements:
- Score percentile of 80% or above on a 100-point scale, OR ranked within the top 20% of the graduating class.
- Minimum CGPA: 2.64/4.0, 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5, or 3.23/5.0.
- Age Limit:
- Undergraduate applicants: under 25 years (born after September 1, 2000).
- Graduate applicants: under 40 years (born after September 1, 1985).
- Must be in good health, both physically and mentally, to complete studies in Korea.
