2025 CLARITY-Africa PhD Scholarship Programme; CLARITY-Africa is accepting applications for its 2025 PhD scholarship programme for research in climate change and public health.
📌 Who is this for? PhD students focusing on how climate affects daily life in African cities.
📌 Study Locations:
- University of Ghana
- AIMS Research and Innovation Centre (RIC)
📌 Research Focus: Climate risks such as heat, floods, and vulnerable communities in Accra, Tamale, Kigali, and Musanze.
📌 Programme Lead: Imperial College London, in partnership with top African universities and city groups.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, you must:
✔ Be a citizen of any African country
✔ Hold a Master’s degree in a related field, such as:
- Climate science
- Economics
- Geography
- Demography
- Public health
- Environmental studies
- Mathematics and physical sciences
✔ Be interested in research linked to CLARITY-Africa
✔ Have experience with research tools and strong analytical skills
✔ Show past research work and academic potential
✔ If currently in Year 1 of a PhD at the University of Ghana, you can also apply

Each applicant must submit:
📌 Statement of Purpose (max. 2,000 words) explaining research interests and how the scholarship will help
📌 Two-page research proposal
📌 Full academic CV detailing education and research experience
📌 Copies of graduate certificates and transcripts
